Highlighted in a recent article in Dazed Beauty, Shunsuke Meguro wanted to “use this series of images to convey the importance of cherishing and deeply knowing your country’s culture.” In this recent collaboration with Photographer Piczo, the minimalistic photography provides comfort to the bold and unapologetic hair and make-up within the series. Meguro stated that the photography was “inspired by the philosophy of Japanese subtractive aesthetics.“
